- Overall winners and runner up prizes announced
Monday….butterflies walking up for weigh in, it’s the scales, not Darryl! Know I’ve done everything right but nervous in case it doesn’t show on those bloody scales, don’t know my weight, I don’t ask and the main man doesn’t tell. 4lbs down, delighted.
Classes… (Bit of advice to all women starting BTB. Get a good sports bra, vital) We spent a good 5 mins discussing and showing bras the other day! (Only the women)
All of the classes seem to have morphed into 1, husband asks what I did in class and i can’t describe it. That’s good. Not hung up on what I do/don’t like (there’s not much I don’t like) or can/can’t do. Adopted the attitude that I’ll give them all 100% regardless of whether I’m able or not. Am enjoying them (bit of a glutton for punishment) feel huge difference in fitness, I’ve a lot less belly, butt and boobs getting in the way .25lbs less!! (Still can’t do jumping Jacks though) that’s a sinful amount of extra weight to have carried around. Wouldn’t mind but I guess I still have another 30++lbs to lose.
Did a couple of regular classes this week, kettle bells, hard but loved it, boxing, exhausting as always and trainers choice on Sunday(fish out of water!) but did it to best of my ability.
Food….Did well with food but dreaded Friday as was going to a family wedding. Please remember I’m only human. temptation was huge, managed food but struggled with wine. Husband was adamant that I have a couple of glasses of wine. 7 weeks you’ve been great for, was all he kept on saying. He was the bad Devil on my shoulder. Darryl was the good Angel on the other shoulder (bet he’s never been called that before!). Darryl lost!! I settled for a couple of spritzers made with water. Drank about 2 litres of water along with them. Seriously though the guilt I felt. Really not worth it.
Saturday….took myself and a kettle bell up to the local track. Did 4×400 meters, 20 mins of kettle bells, push ups, plank jumps and 10 burpees to try and get rid of the spritzers, this fitness thing has got to me.
Head….I’m thankful to Thomas Bond for telling me about BTB…The reaction from people I met over the weekend who I haven’t seen since i started was incredible. Must have been a right mess before.
Starting into the last week of BTB with a lighter heart, body and mind. Last final push for Friday’s weigh in. Signed up for next round. Hope to see you all the 10 o’clock bulgers back again.
Brilliant work Marian!
